In October 2004 the state-owned share of JV Ground Handling Company was privatized, and it acquired status of a limited liability company. 
Ground Handling Company Limited is currently an ever-growing company rich in perspectives. Its strategy and business philosophy established long before formal inauguration of the company still remain the same - they are focused upon achieving the main goal - high quality handling services and flight safety. 
Ground handling is one of specific aviation activities, that requires cooperation between different divisions of the airport, airlines and independent contractors. High quality ground handling service surely impacts on flight safety and flight regularity; moreover, it impacts on airport handling capacity. Any airline, highly appreciating its reputation, is well aware that passenger handling service is of priority value. That is why the most strategic decisions made while promoting the company, were first of all related to updating its ground support equipment, upgrading its technology and staff training. As a result we are currently using the most up-to-date ground support equipment to render various kinds of handling services to aircraft, passengers, baggage and cargo; new information technology has been introduced and is being applied now; staff skills keep growing; and all those let us face the future with confidence. 
In our activities we are doing every effort to adhere to international practice following the ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) and IATA (International Air Transport Association) regulations and recommendations. To contribute to comprehensive cooperation with IATA, in 2000 Ground Handling Company became an official Member of the IATA Ground Handling Council, which enables our company to participate in annual meetings of the Association, including special workshops of the Council. 
We are making big and serious plans to fulfill a project for further development of Civil Aviation approved by President of the Azerbaijan Republic aimed at further upgrading and improvement of service quality at airports of the Azerbaijan Republic.
